Take a shot!

Brent, (The Ville) is in a band called The Shooting Gallery. They’ve recently released their debut CD called “Dark and Bloody Ground.” Visit the band’s web site for more info, reviews, pictures, news, and some free Mp3s. You can listen to some song samples at CDBaby and purchase the CD for ten bucks. If you like Roots Rock, Alt Country and Alternative Americana music, you’ll probably like The Shooting Gallery.

Hey, what have you got to lose? $10 to help out a great conservative blogger?

Can’t argue with that, now, can you?*

*Unless of course you’re Balbulican, Stageleft, or RKB, in which case you’re just helping out a cool guy with a cool band; forget the whole conservative thing…

I was willing to give the lad a try. Got as far as his first page, with the article on “Canada’s Commie Rag” (by which was referring to our national newspaper, a moderately right wing publication formerly owned by arch conservative Conrad Black). Didn’t spark my interest in his lyrics…or his blog.

Alternative? Yeah, I suppose…an alternative to intelligence.

Balbulican, you mean you didn’t get as far as:

“I thought you Canadian progressives communists were so superior, kind, caring, politically correct and sensitive? Well I’d rather be big and fat than have your butt-ugly face and pea-sized brain. You look like a man and a monkey in a lab would score higher on a multiple choice test than you.”

    This is great conservative blogging?

The blog didn’t tweak my interest and my monkey didn’t like the tunes – oh well.

You know what? I just checked out track 2 on the CD. I usually know if I’m going to like a CD or not by the first song I listen to. This seems to be pretty original and solid. I’m gonna pick it up… not just because he’s The Ville is a conservative blogger, but because I will actually like and play the CD.

I listened to the tracks available and it’s really pretty good. It’s not my style music, but definitely well done, in my humble opinion. From what I heard, ‘Harlan’ in my favorite.

Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.
