Why you need to write something as soon as you think it.

I just scrapped a 200 word piece on approval ratings and such, and the way the media is handling Bush’s… Why? Because Daniel says it in two paragraphs:

Much has been said about Bush’s faltering approval ratings in recent polls, many of them focusing on the economy and on his handling of the war in Iraq. Some say it spells doom for a second term but something I’ve noticed is that Kerry’s numbers haven’t really been going up as Bush’s go down.

Hell, I’m unhappy with how Bush is handling the war. I don’t care for this winning hearts and minds crap or the notion of a PC war but that doesn’t but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll be voting for Kerry.

The second paragraph was the whole premise of my piece.
