After last week’s somewhat disappointing stasis, this week turned out much better…
Started: 1/19/04, 351 lbs.
As of 5/30/04, 298 lbs.

Now, that’s great by itself, but let’s consider the menu for the week, shall we? A trip to In & Out Burgers, McDonald’s for breakfast three out of five days, Diner food in one variety or another every single night, snacks (on occasion) and I forgot to bring my multi vitamin, so no vitamins.
By all standards, I ate like crap and I still lost weight. Why? Because even though the food itself wasn’t great health wise, my method of eating it was. I still tracked every single calorie. I still kept a log. I still ate conservatively to make sure I didn’t blow all my calories at breakfast.
Most of all, I didn’t just say, “I’m away, I’ll just get back into it when I get back.”
There’s a change in the air folks, and the fact that I was able to be completely out of control of what was in the food I was eating and still lose that much proves that I have really nailed how to do this diet.
It’s kinda fun now. I wore a 2x shirt today (!!!) and I can proudly proclaim that I’m almost 300 lbs and not be underestimating.
Now that, in itself, makes me smile
