Vinnie. I had to comment on the pictures. I made my way here thru Chelle and her site. CONGRATS on the weight loss. I too have been there and have lost almost 160 lbs. I have my story on it on the intervision site address here. I know how wonderful you must feel and health wise the benefits are grand. I feel like a kid again… hugs to you and keep up the great work, Kathy

    Kathy,

I read your site about a year ago and had almost decided on the bypass surgery.

In January, I had a medical condition that required a trip to the hospital. On this trip, the doctor told me that i needed to lose some weight. Since that point, I’ve dropped 56 pounds by a combination of various weightloss methods.

It’s worked for me thus far, and I hope it continues. I’m dedicated to never being that size again.

Thanks for being part of the inspiration ;-)

I hope everyone doesn’t mind me writing here on Chelle’s post – I know she won’t – as she has been a big supporter of what I did too. Thanks for considering me to be an inspiration to you on the weight loss. I had tried everything and anything to get it off and with having health problems too I made this choice and have never regretted it for one second. Since you have read my site you know what all I had been through. All those problems are now gone!!! Again, CONGRATS to you and keep up the wonderful job you are doing… YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!! Kathy

First my congratulations to both Kathy and Vinny. I went and read your story Kathy and I am so glad you have had a positive experience with it. Being an RN, I have seen some that have not been positive and I myself was one of them but I will be the first to say improvements in the procedure has been made and mine was the doctor involved.

I saved the best for last YOU Vinny. The choice you made and the lifestyle changes you are making for this to be a success are not easy. It ia a slow and sometimes very difficult choice but it will be the right one and I know you must feel that way already for look at the success you have already found. You can do this and will do this so continue with the changes you have made and don’t become upset when you reach the plateaus for that is going to happen.

    Sweet,
I think it is wondeful that Vinnie has done so great on his own and I sure do hand it to him to be able to do that. I tried and tried and had totally no luck. At one time I was in the hosptial and on a 600 calorie a day and lost nada…., think they were really starving me and my body was rebelling. I did what I had to do to save my life and it works, I know there are cases of those that have problems ,, bad ones.
Chelle knows of what I speak. I had the RNY done and that is the one with the best success rate. I was sorry to hear that you had problems with surgery and yes there are many improvements and like you said the doc has a lot to do with it also. That is why I went to a place where that is all they do, not any knew replacements or carpel tunnel. THREE Cheers to Vinnie!!!!!!!!!
