Read the whole damn thing…

Actually, you really only need to read this part because there is nothing in here that is disputable.

BillOReilly.com: Articles Print – Say It Ain’t So, Ted Turner

The fact that the media is allowing CNN to get away with this tells you all you need to know about how fair the American press is these days. I’ll submit to you that if Greta Van Susteren and I signed on with Bush/Cheney 2004, The New York Times would have passed out torches and the media mob would have stormed the Fox News castle. There’s a fox in the hen house all right–it’s called the left-wing press allowing their brothers to slide.

Personally, I don’t care if Carville and Begala want to help Kerry. And I don’t care what they say on CNN. Everybody knows those guys are Kool-Aid liberals; they’re not going to change many minds.
But I must say that CNN has some gall. It has consistently put itself up as the beacon of broadcast journalism and taken snarky shots at those it considers of lesser quality.

Well, the halcyon days at CNN have now come to an end. The network’s ratings have collapsed and so have its ethical standards.

I don’t know what’s in your pipe, Ted Turner, but if there’s room, put that assessment in there, and smoke it.

Remember when it was suspected that Roger Ailes was advising the Bush administration in some capacity? Remember the hub bub? Remember the tsking of CNN and MSNBC?

Well? Here’s CNN’s big chance. Suspend Begala and Carville until after the election rather than giving Kerry Campaign Advisors a daily TV show.

Anyone wanna bet how many pigs will soar above their heads before that blessed event occurs?

Well, I think it’s nice that CNN has tossed aside any pretense of objectivity. Makes it easier for us to disregard them out of hand.

Yes, stick to news that only reflects your own ideology. Your views on politics and the world will only be strengthened by such objectivity.

Steven, I know you’re reasonably intelligent. Do you ever get the point, or are you just being belligerent and stupid for no reason.

The point, since you blatantly missed it, is that had this been Fox and they hired Karl Rove and Marc Racicot, there would be a public lynching of the network.

Instead, the two talking heads work at CNN, because, well, it’s CNN.

If you don’t see the difference, then fine, but at least make sure you stick to the point. You sound stupid when you divert the subject like you did in your above comment.

And also, Steven, consider what you’re saying. I should stick to news that represents my “ideology.”

By deduction, that means CNN represents another “ideology” outside of my own.

In other words, you just admitted CNN is liberally biased. Good job.

The sharply-worded nature of my earlier post aside, do opinions and ideologies only come in two opposed flavors, A or B? An imprecise model of thought.

It is all subjective, and all relative. CNN is liberal to anyone who sees the center as liberal. Leftists would chuckle at the thought of any massive profit-driven corporation labelled in such a fashion. They might consider Indymedia to be liberal, by comparison.

My only conclusion from all of this is that Bill O’Reilly is rather far from center and enjoys calling doubt on his competition’s objectivity. So I will aagree with you and say that yes, CNN is biased to the left of the Fox pundit who posted the article.
