It beat me. The hills in my neighborhood ripped me off my bike saddle and kicked my ass mercilessly for an hour. At one point I diverted on the return route to avoid them. I swear, I feel like I live in San Francisco the way the hills roll over here.

Regardless, I took time to explore the Mosholu / Pelham Greenway Network and it was really nice. Most of it is freshly paved, although there are some low spots filled with puddles from last night’s rains. No biggie. The moisture in the air (64% humidity) is much worse than what was on the floor.

Glad I got some time on the bike in today. I really needed it. It’s nice having a couple of days off ;-)

You have so inspired me. Today, I went out and bought one of those large exercise balls and some weights. Last week we bought my oldest daughter an 18 speed bike. Since she is the same height as myself (and she’s only 11!!!), the bike is perfect for me to ride as well. I’m borrowing it on occasion until Gary buys me my own, which he said will be the very near future.

Keep up the great work as I’m sure I’m not the only person you have inspired!!

Exercise balls are great. Once I get down to a weight where I’m comfortable the ball would support, I’m buying one.

Keep up the great work ;-) And I really do hope I’ve inspired some others. That’s one of the reasons I post all this!

Oh Kricket… You may want to get yourself a mat also…

Keeps the ball in place a little better…

You already know how you’ve inspired me, Vin! 40lbs gone since the first time you inspired me :)

Yeah, I’m gonna get a mat soon too. I saw those at the store and came close to picking it up, but I can only spend so much money at one time without incurring the husband’s wrath. I’m also going to pick up wrist and ankle weights for my walks.
