A Stunning Lack of Understanding

You would think after hundreds were killed on March 11, 2004, the Spanish people would be a little more cognicent of who the terrorists of the world really are.

Alas, they aren’t.

In fact, in Catalan, they’re just downright lost:

Translated from Catalan:

“Bush, Aznar, Sharon, Berlusconi, you facists are the terrorists”

Very nice. Keep thinking like that, and the world will be a much safer place.

Idiots.

I don’t see how the facile love of authoritarianism prevents you from being an idiot, too. Maybe the people of Catalan are smart enough to take their heads out of their asses and see things as they really are? They’ve actually had more than a few years experience with such violence, unlike America in general, and you in particular.

    Yadda yadda yadda

And Bush, Aznar, and Berlusconi blew up the trains, and the WTC, and took kids hostage in Russia.

    I know.

You know, it’s amazing that shitbags like you can sit there and say Bush was distracted in a war on terrorism because he went after Saddam, but people who think Bush and Berlusconi, and the like are terrorists are focused and know they’re correct because they’ve seen it before.

    More double standards.

    More stupidity.

    In other words, more Steven.

You’re the one claiming Bush, Aznar, and Berlusconi are jihadists and/or violent separatists. So in other words, its all Vinny.

I think Steve needs to lay off the Boones Farm.

Must be a sale on Boones Farm. Steve seems disillusioned.

Steven is a “rip roarin propaganda machine” of the extreme left wing. In his eyes America is always wrong, always the problem. People like him have more of an alegiance to the local sports team than to the great country that allows them the most extensive freedoms in the history of civilization.
Maybe Israel has THE MOST experience when it comes to terrorism, but I bet you don’t give them the benefit of the doubt,do you Steven? You are so predictable, so cliche, that anyone with half a brain would be able to profile you and achieve 90% accuracy. Besides that, I’m sure you are a hell of a nice guy.

What I find interesting here is condemning an entire nation for the actions of a few.

Also, terrorism comes in many faces and forms, not just extremist Islamists.

I don’t agree whith this sentiment fully, but I don’t blame all spanish people for it either.

I am going to have to take Steve’s side on this issue. You know, it seems as if Conservatives have been trying and to some extent have been successful in pinning dissenters as being unpatriotic. How dare anyone question Bush’s effectiveness or even his motives. As Vinny pointed out, Steve is a “shitbag” for saying that Bush was distracted by going after Saddam Hussein. Let us not forget Republican members of the house who questioned conflict in Kosovo where true genocide was occurring. Let us also remember the great Republican president who said this:

ìTo announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right of wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonably to the American pubic.î

Steven is a shitbag for a lot of reasons. Since you don’t know why, don’t pretend to know or analyze anything based on one comment, okay Mr. Freud?

I think I made it clear that I was analyzing the entire situation. Second, your choice of diction can say a lot about the caliber of your personality. You see, when I was young I learned that the most effective way to convincingly convey an argument was to stray from foul language and never accuse someone of being a shitbag for simply disagreeing with me.

hmpf, I have never once been left with the impression that Vinny wants an echo chamber here. I choose to not discuss politics very often, but when I’ve voiced opinions in the past here, there have been times I’ve disagreed. The key to discussion (and to disagreeing) with Vinny is where you give respect, he’ll give respect.

If you do not BEHAVE like a shitbag, you will not be treated like one. At least, that is my experience with Vinny.

Uh yup, uh yup Patrick you is just so much smahtah than I is.

OH, and hmpf is a shitbag who works for Tommy Hilfiger, but has a guilty conscience about it. Don’t take him too seriously.
