I’m all for training pilots, but this has to be the dumbest part of the whole story:
The pilot of the single-seat jet was supposed to fire at a target on the ground three and half miles away from school on the Warren Grove firing range, Webster said.
3 miles?
3 frigging miles?
You’re putting targets for fighters three miles from a school?
As Egon in Ghostbusters would say “This is bad.”
I mean, I know pilots are accurate and all, but three miles for training them?
That just doesn’t seem very smart to me…
