This is a trick question ain’t it? I don’t think they’re veggies at all, they look more like very moldy mice with no legs.

    PS – Don’t eat them!!

I knew I left those pickles somewhere!

Seriously, I think they might be an underwater plant. I seem to recall something very much like that in my late uncle’s tropical aquarium some 20 years ago.

My wife ended up with them with her bags when she went shopping. Obviously someone bought them on purpose.

I just have no idea what they are. They seem to have the texture of a cuke / zuchini, but the warts on them…

They’re just really frigging weird, and my wife (who I acknowledge as an expert on all things veggie) has no idea what they are…

And Chuck, welcome back to blogging dude!

Vinny, tell her to take them back to where she got them, and leave them there AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Because the Jolly Green Giant is going to be looking for them. And although he will be speaking in a high, squeaky voice…he WILL be pissed.

I don’t know the English name for them, but in Chinese, they’re called fu gwa which literally translates into “bitter gourd”. The usual way to cook them is slice them thinly and to stir fry them. But I have to warn you, like their name, they’re really, really bitter and it’s an acquired taste.

Oh, don’t worry… After I took the picture, I chucked them. They were freaking my wife and I out

There’s a perfectly rational explanation. Especially after a certain somebody cut up a certain card recently. It all makes sense.
