It’s a start…

AP Wire | 02/11/2005 | House panel approves measure to make abortion a felony
BRAD PERRIELLO

PIERRE, S.D. – Abortion should be a crime in South Dakota if states are given the right to outlaw the medical procedure, a House panel recommended Friday.

The State Affairs Committee unanimously approved HB1249, which would make it a felony to do abortions if Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, is overturned. The bill would allow exceptions in cases where a pregnant woman’s life is at risk.

Those who do abortions could face up to two years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

I guess calling murder a felony is a good place to start. Kudos to South Dakota for doing something to end the baby-murder-factory that is the abortion industry in this country.

Passing laws against abortion basically says that the community should have a say as to what goes on inside someone’s body. I’m fervently against that. If the tapeworm I get down in Tijuana is considered a living thing, it should still be my right to get rid of the damn parasite. That’s all a baby is until it’s viable or born: a parasite on the mother’s body. Laws should treat it as such. It’s not murder to abort a baby/foetus before it’s viable as a human. Before that point, it’s just a tapeworm. Religions want to make it into something more, but religions are for the weak-minded and pathetic people who have some need to have life mean more than it does.

Oh, and I’m a male, tax the churches, life sentences should equal death sentences, conservative, in case you were wondering.

    Nope. Wasn’t wondering at all.
