I have a suggestion…

Alaska zoo to install elephant treadmill
REBECCA BOONE

BOISE, Idaho - It’s not easy being a pudgy pachyderm.

Everyone - from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to the U.S. Department of Agriculture - seems to weigh in with opinions on trimming Maggie the elephant’s waistline or suggestions for putting extra energy in her heavy step.

But soon Maggie may become a bit less massive. Keepers at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage, where Maggie lives, are preparing to install the world’s first elephant exercise treadmill.

Why not just starve it until it loses weight? I hear that’s a peaceful and beautiful way to lose weight…

Oh wait, we don’t do that to animals; only humans.

It’s nice to read that the Elephant is going to receive physical therapy that was denied to Terri Schiavo all these years.

  2. Kricket Says:

That’s cause the elephant was blessed enough to not be a pet in the Schiavo household 15 years ago.

  3. Slobokan Says:

Of course not. If the elephant was a pet in their household it would have been euthanized in 93 with the cats.

I hear that Michael Schiavo had a problem with his wife’s weight, so the elephant wouldn’t stand a chance.

As a Boise native, it’s great to see my city generating headlines. Even if they are dull and insignificant…

Didn’t know the best place to put this, but I wanted to share this item, especially based on the number of times people in various threads have referred to Michael Schiavo as a murderer, somebody who has abused his wife, somebody, clearly, with something to hide.

The husband of brain-damaged Florida woman Terri Schiavo has ordered an autopsy after she dies to silence allegations his plan to cremate her body is aimed at hiding something, his lawyer said on Monday.

If the autopsy shows nothing out-of-the-ordinary, would that silence some of the critics? Or can it be assumed that the M.E. is on in the conspiracy, too?

Thanks for the info and that is one plus for Michael. Now if only he would allow her to have her Mass of Catholic Burial and not be creamated. I think it won’t be too long before he is remarried to be with the mother of his 2 children. So, then there is a question of when he passes and/or the new wife does and where are they buried. Michael in the middle and a wife on each side? The last I have heard was creamation with her ashes buried in his families plot in Pa. I just wish in death he would pass Terri over to her parents for the final Catholic rights, Mass and burial.

It’s a breath of fresh air that Mr. Schiavo is finally doing something that doesn’t smell fishy.

    Kathy,
Are you spouting off on more conjecture and baseless slander AGAIN? I noticed on saturday you cleverly avoided RKB’s reply’s to you in regard to your assertions.

Can you bring somthing to the table other your biases? It’s pretty clear someone cheated on you years back and your not quite over it. Man-hater.

As for the rest of you, this reminds me of the scene from The Holy Grail when the peasants want to burn the witch.

  10. Kathy Says:

Gordon. I am surely not a man hater. If you did read my site you know I was cheated on but that is done and over with. Afterall, who do you really hurt by harboring hate and anger? No one but yourself. As for any slander, everyone knows he has a mistress ( and when you are married and having intercourse with someone other than your wife, that is having a mistress) SO how is that slander? Everyone has their own thoughts on the subject, pro or con and I think about everone of them has been covered here. Isn’t this a place to talk over the subject and to express opinions? It seems a few of you can’t do anything but criticise.
