AMEN! You put up a good fight girl and there are many broken hearts left behind. It is with the Angels that you fly now. You also left behind a legacy that is gonna rock the world and make a change. It may have been your whole purpose in life to begin with. I will light a candle for you. Godspeed Terri!!
Notice these words:
Thursday morning, O’ Donnell said that Schiavo was in her final hours of life, and police have prohibited her blood relatives from spending time with her.
O’Donnell, one of the family’s spiritual advisers, said that her parents and siblings were “begging to be at her bedside…but are being denied.”
Michael Schiavo was Terri’s guardian and controlled who may visit her and when.
Let’s not turn this into a Michael Schiavo bashing thread, please. Let it take a rest for a few days. There will be plenty of time to discuss what did or didn’t happen this morning next week or whenever.
Terri Shiavo was an ordinary person thrown (through no fault or choice of her own) into extraordinary circumstances. Though she may have not been totally aware of the gravity of her situation and the significance of her life during the past 15 years, it was profound. Many times people like Terri don’t live long enough to see the impact that they’ve had and the legacy they leave behind.
Hopefully, now that her life is over, the political powers will be free to address this issue properly, and sane solutions may finally be forthcoming. Hopefully because of Terri’s suffering, others like her, and their families will be spared the same agony, and our country may have a greater appreciation of the gift of life. Hopefully……………..
I am not upset at Terri’s death. I don’t believe that she would ever have recovered, and so I feel that whether she lived or died as a veg. was unimportant - but how she died was.
I cannot believe that people had the balls to take out Terri’s tube and condemn her to death, but lacked the intestinal fortitude to follow through on her death sentence and give her a shot. Who would tolerate it if we got rid of the gas chambers and just starved prisoners to death? I wouldn’t even let my dog suffer as they let Terri.
I would like to publically thank all of the moral cowardices of this country for putting Terri down like she was beneath the animals. Those of you who are unrepentent now deserve no better.
I am very sorry to hear of Terri’s death. She fought for so long to live!I feel her parents should have had guardianship over her, since her husband took a common-law wife years ago.Even in death he will not allow her family to bury her but will have her cremated instead. What a cruel and heartless man he is!I hope Terri haunts this man to his dying day and is with him always as I am sure that would be HIS wish.
Vinny is right. While Michael does deserve a big share of the blame, if we should criticize anybody for the death of this woman it should be the Judiciary… or at least that’s what I think.
Please let’s all respect Vinny and Terri here. I know we all are hurt but like Vinny said earlier today: Let’s not turn this into a Michael Schiavo bashing thread, please. Let it take a rest for a few days. There will be plenty of time to discuss what did or didn’t happen this morning next week or whenever. comment by Vinny — 3/31/2005 @ 10:36 am Let’s let Terri rest in peace as she is in a much better place now and with our Lord. She is being taken care of in the right way finally.
Thoughts On Terri
Thank God she’s passed. While I believe Michael was in the right on this issue, she should have been given a massive dose of morphine to end it all. The slow death was barbaric.

I feel so sorry for her family and the void her death will leave. It shouldn’t have been this way.
