Study Finds Racism in New Orleans’ Bars
Thu Apr 14, 5:16 AM ET U.S. National - APBy MARY FOSTER, Associated Press Writer
NEW ORLEANS - If you’re black and belly up to a bar on Bourbon Street, be forewarned: You run a 50-50 chance of either being charged more or being forced to order a minimum number of drinks.
Those are the findings of a study done for the city in the wake of the death of a black college student who died in a scuffle with white bouncers outside a bar on the famous French Quarter thoroughfare.
I wonder if they’re planning on doing another study to see if there’s water in the ocean!?
Honestly, racism runs rampant in New Orleans. That’s from every person I know (black and white) who’s ever been down there. If you need a study to prove it, you need help.

ItÃs been my observation since I started taking notice of such things, that American cities that have or have had reputations for racism seem to be predominantly controlled by democrats. New Orleans is no different; they have a democrat African American Mayor.
During the past few decades almost all major U.S. cities that have had reputations for racial unrest are cities that were long controlled by democrats.
Some of these cities are: New York, Philadelphia, Newark, Detroit, Boston, Los Angeles, and Chicago. What does this mean? Maybe nothing, but for years weÃve been told that democrats are more sensitive towards racism, and better equipped to handle it than the evil republicans.
New York City was a cesspool of crime and racism when the democrats controlled it. White punks on the streets of Bensonhurst and Howard Beach with baseball bats were attacking blacks. Whites and Jews were being attacked and killed by blacks in a race riot in Crown Heights Brooklyn. This riot was allowed to go on for a couple of days because Mayor Dinkins (D) was afraid to use police force to stop it.
Over the past few decades there were also major race riots in Detroit, Boston, and who could forget Los Angeles (twice).
These are just my observations; they could or could not mean anything.

It’s simple. Democrats are afraid to actually address the issue of racism, because if it disappears so does a major leg of their political platform.
