Where state lines are crossed, federalism allows federal regulation. That's all this bill does; it's not telling states how to run themselves.

To me there isn't enough info in that article to say what is going on. Some thing I've noticed about the ACLU is that when they are doing some thing the liberals approve of, they get a lot of press. When they do some thing that conservatives would approve of, you almost never hear of it. They have been supporting David Horowitz in his battle with Colombia University but he barely even mentions it on his website. Just across the state line from here (in North Carolina), the ACLU sued a couple of universities over discriminating against Christians. I've never seen anything about it on the Internet and the only reason I know about is because I saw a story on it in a local newspaper. The ACLU has been consistent in trying to limit government involvement in any thing. They do stupid things time to time but my only major complaint with them is their refusal to support the 2nd Amendment.

Anyway, to me this is a Federalism issue. Abortion should be left to the states without federal interference.
