The Honorable Michael Schiavo
Schiavos Don’t Know Where Terri’s Ashes Are
Sat May 7, 9:08 AM ETMIAMI - The family of a severely brain-damaged woman who died after her feeding tube was removed in March said Friday they still have not been told where her remains will be laid to rest.
Terri Schiavo’s parents and siblings, who waged a lengthy court battle over her end-of-life wishes, said on Fox’s “Hannity & Colmes” show that her husband is keeping her remains from them.
“They were supposed to tell us, and we still have not heard from … Michael Schiavo where Terri’s been laid,” said Terri Schiavo’s brother, Bobby Schindler. “Our family expected this. Michael has disobeyed court orders throughout the ordeal and continues to do so today.”
Michael Schiavo is under court order to notify the Schindlers of his plans for a memorial service. He has had his wife cremated and has said her ashes would be buried at a family plot in Pennsylvania.
George Felos, Michael Schiavo’s attorney, did not immediately return a call Friday night seeking comment.
Of course he didn’t return the call. He ain’t about to explain it.

My first question is; has he buried the ashes? The article doesn’t state this. Second; has he even had his memorial service? The article doesn’t state it.
I don’t believe the court order mandates that he allow them to be present at the service. I believe he need only tell them when and where she is buried. They know the where. His family plot in PA. If he sways from that, without telling them, then he breaks a court order by not diclosing the location. It was my understanding that he was going to wait in order for the ceremony to not be a media circus.

I am so glad you, Vinny, are privvy to the information that nobody else is that you can make statements about this.
Perhaps minding your own business would be in order for you.

I was under the impression that he already had his memorial service. But honestly, did you really expect him to follow a court order now when he never did during the 15 years of court fighting to kill his wife?
Karbotz: Vinnie is getting his information from the same place as the rest of it - the news. So either you are telling us all to mind our business, including yourself, with none of watching, reading the news, or you are just an ignorant asshole with a bone to grind against Vinnie.

Kricket, What court order has he violated? I believe you are mistaken about the Memorial Service as well. The court order states that her is to notify Terris parents, he owes Bobby nothing.

Pam:
Based on the article, Bobby was speaking for the family not having heard anything:
It is what it is, but the truth is there’s no reason to hide ANY details from her parents. That’s just stupid. It shouldn’t take a court order. A human being shouldn’t do that.

My point though Vinny is that, she may not even be laid to rest as we speak. He could very well still have the ashes in his possession. Bobby Schindler, in my opinion, is a large cause of the friction that unfolded over the past 10 years. He, in my opinion, is not the most truthful person in this whole case.
If I find out that she was secretly buried and her parents were not notified, I will be the 1st to jump down Michaels throat. Until then, I take Bobbys’ words with a grain of salt.

Pam, I’m not disagreeing with you. My only point is that he should at least keep the family abreast on what is going on. You may very well be right. He may have Terri’s ashes in an urn on the tank of his toilet bowl. We’ll never know. But he should at least tell the Schindler family what’s going on. That isn’t just dust he’s holding on to, it’s their daughter.

Agreed.
