You know what Mike? I wasn’t saying anything other than you can’t expect to be taken as normal when you, as a man, dress like a woman, wear full face makeup, a dress, heels, and then try to come off like you’re “just like everyone else.”

I don’t give a shit about normal, but then again, I’m not trying to get everyone to accept every lifestyle choice I make under the guise of tolerance either.

When I used to work in SF, I worked with this particularly flamboyant guy. He LIVED Rocky Horror Picture Show. Transexual Transvestite From Transylvania to a tee. The LAST thing this guy wanted was to be considered normal. He craved the spot light and the turned heads and the attention. Most of them that I knew were the same.

BFD. So does Brittney and JLo and any of the other Divas. But they’re straight, so it’s accepted. But which is a bigger harmful influence on our kids?

You can no more say that the guy in the photo is a reflection of the homosexual lifestyle than you can hold up a Springer guest as an example of the married heterosexual lifestyle.

It’s the people like him (Ariel? OH YUCK!) who march in the gay pride parade and get in front of a mic and go “We’re just like everyone else.”

Living in NYC, I see plenty of it, and it’s just odd. No place on the planet is more accepting of weird people, but let’s not kid ourselves about what weird is. And when you’re a man, in a fruit hat like Carmen Miranda, and a coconut bra, and your hairy man-ass is hanging out the back of your bikini, please don’t lecture me on your normalcy or how I must accept you as just another guy.

The key line, Gordon is “abnormal heterosexual behaviors.”. Adulterers, cousins who marry, men who live strippers and the strippers who sleep around with other men. I mean, if we’re talking about lifestyles, as the headline above the photo suggests, spend a week watching that show and you’ll see all kinds of fucked up lifestyles.

And normal is quite easily defined by society. For example, in the US 98% of men do not dress up as women. Therefore, the 2% who do, are not.

I can tell you one thing… No one thinks twice before calling Britney a skank, but people would watch their step if they were about to call someone an “ugly fag” lest they be called a homophobe.

There’s no stigma attached to calling Britney a skank. It’s done with a wink and a nod.

I know you didn’t say it, Gordon. And, for about the fourth or fifth time recently, I find myself agreeing with you. I think both examples are people desperately seeking attention. In the worst possible way.

My original comment, really, was more for our good host, since it seemed the intent of this post to intimate that this kind of behavior is a fair reflection of “their lifestyle.”
