More “out of the mainstream” Muslims
Muslim protesters today called for the bombing of New York in a demonstration outside the US embassy in London.
There were threats of “another 9/11″ from militants angry at reports of the desecration of the Koran by US troops in Iraq.
Some among the crowd burned an effigy of Tony Blair on a crucifix and then set fire to a Union flag and a Stars and Stripes.
Led by a man on a megaphone, they chanted, “USA watch your back, Osama is coming back” and “Kill, kill USA, kill, kill George Bush”. A small detail of police watched as they shouted: “Bomb, bomb New York” and “George Bush, you will pay, with your blood, with your head.”
How quaint. Just another calm quiet day in the religion of peace.
One of the protesters called for the release of radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza. He shouted: “Your so-called democracy will fall under the sword of Allah. The day of judgment is coming.”
Awww… You know, it’s a real tragedy because the day before George W. Bush took office, these folks loved us… I mean, even Abu Hamza… What did he ever do? Well, aside from being the epicenter of muslim radicalism in Great Britain, he’s made some terrific quotes:
Bin Laden is a good guy. Everyone likes him in the Muslim world, there is nothing wrong with the man and his beliefs.
What a guy.
Many people will be happy, jumping up and down [after September 11]. America is a crazy superpower and what was done was done in self-defence.
It’s also nice to see the beginnings of the Caliphate that Islam wants so desperately…
The demonstration coincided with protests across the world. On the West Bank 2,500 Palestinians streamed out of mosques shouting “Death to America”. In Calcutta, India, protesters burned, spat and urinated on the US flag. And in Somalia thousands chanted anti-US slogans.
Ahhhh, nothing like a peaceful weekend in the land of the religion of peace. It’s such a shame the US can’t see Islam as the peaceful calm rational religion it really is, and see the leaders of it for the peaceful men of Allah that they really are.
A true tragedy of the modern era.

What’s great about trolls like Ian is that they don’t read beyond one post before commenting…
I wrote this a few days ago and it seems to fit nicely here:

No, I have not sat down and read the Koran cover to cover.
But now you’re gonna tell me you have so go ahead.

Wait a minute, hang on a sec…
(looks up the site owner… Yep… Still me…)
Nope, I don’t think I’m gonna be bothering giving you more trolling ammo. You’re more than welcome to discuss this sort of thing on your own fine blog. I understand you want people to actually see what you write, and that’s why you put it here, but honestly, I’m not really in the mood for a flamewar.

Islam is a peaceful religion.
ROFLMAO. Where do we get these loonies?

See, Ian… Unlike liberals, we don’t automatically believe something just because George W. Bush said it. That’s just a stereotype carried by liberals looking to explain away many things they don’t like.
There are plenty of things Gordon and I don’t agree with Bush on. If you had been reading this site for more than ten minutes, you’d know that.

Ian,
If Islam is a religion of peace, why are all the Islamic countries in turmoil?
May 24th, 2005 at 7:32 am
Nobody cares what you have to say Ian. You, like most of your ilk, are a typical Canadian know it all. Your repetitive straw-man arguments are tired, boring, and about as much fun to debate as whether or not paint left in the sun will dry.
In other words you’re boring and predictable, and nobody here gives a damn what you have to say. Now move along like a good little boy and find someone else who enjoys all your strawman arguments and hasty generalizations.

Ian,
If Islam is a religion of peace, why are all the Islamic countries in turmoil?
I guess Ian culdn’t answer the question so he decided to ignore it.
Tell me Ian, are you Muslim? Do you beleive in Islam? What’s your background with it?

Here’s a better debate:
“Whereas what Ian Scott’s opinion matters to someone…”
Here’s the winning argument:
“Not me.”
I win.
Debate over.

I thought Ian was moving “a long”?

They never leave… Ever…
They just hang around telling you how dumb they are but they read your every word so they don’t miss anything. Steven, Sirrios, Ian, Rhazes, Rama, Sam, and all the other Stageleft / Treehugger trolls… No different any of them.
They just keep “threatening” to move along, but never actually do. Quite a pity… It would be really nice if they did.

I think I shall move a long.
Caught in another lie.
Don’t let the door hit your ass, troll.

Ian,
Any religion or any sect within that religion are judged by two things: The teachings of their holy text, and the actions of their followers. Certainly, Christianity has had it’s “dark days”. At various points in our history, we could have been called a religion of violence. But not now.
Islam is currently lead by manic extremists. Tunnel vision. Only one way to think. The same can be said for the followers. Kill fellow Muslims that don’t believe as you do.
Until there is a popular uprising within Islam, they are currently the Religion of Violence, like it or not. Trying to wordsmith a different reality is contemptible.
