I don’t really have anything to say today, so I’m just going to leave this photo for you.
In the movie Xanadu, they used the Pan Pacific Auditorium in Hollywood for the exterior shots of Xanadu. That building has since been torn down and there’s now a really nice park on the property. In a tribute to the original building, they borrowed some of the architechture for the field house of the park, particularly the unusually shaped “towers” along the roof, which creates a retro-futuristic look reminiscent of the 1950′s.
