I Owe An Apology

To [tag]Steve Safran[/tag], who I once berated badly on this blog in a moment of hysterical and uncontrolled anger. Turns out, Steve isn’t really such a bad guy after all. In fact, he’s toned down the rhetoric and even admitted that he needs to provide a more balanced approach. In the meantime, my visits to [tag]Lost Remote[/tag] and my comments to him (and his to me) have been quite civil and enjoyable.

Hell, he even wants to read Blogosfear when it goes on sale!

Anyway, Steve, hopefully you read this…

I’m very sorry for insulting you before. I should’ve tempered what I wrote and taken the advice of a friend of mine: “Stop writing angry, stupid.”

Vin: That is the nicest apology I have read on the web. (Heck – it might be the ONLY apology I’ve read on the web.) But I am honored you decided to keep an open mind and give me a second chance. Likewise, I am glad we called a truce and now recognize that both our efforts should be focused on monitoring the media, both from a tech POV and an editorial POV. Still, I hope this won’t stop us from disagreeing. I like our debates, and I like when you challenge my notions. As long as we keep our discourse civil and respectful, I think both our blogs will benefit. Thanks for the Flash media tips, too. Now get me that book!

I’ll tell ya, one thing I admire about Vinnie is his openness to apologize when he knows it’s warrented. He doesn’t hold a grudge (at least, I know it’s pretty darned rare for him to do so) and is pretty willing to hear the other person out. And he uses tact too. If there is one trait I hope to mooch from this guy, that would be one of those on top of the list. I’m one of the most tactless people you could ever come across. Vinnie is what you might just call a Blogger’s Role Model!!
