My Favorite Vacuous Hole At It Again

Xeni Jardin, my favorite vacuous hole from Boing Boing, made a post today about a blogger who was being sued by the Democratic public relations firm for libel. Read the story she wrote, then come back.

Now, if you’ve read Boing Boing more than once, you know the general tone of the site. Anti Christian (Flying Spaghetti Monster, anyone?), anti corporate (too many to count), and anti copyright (just read Cory’s stuff).

So it strikes me as a bit odd that the blonde bombshell didn’t bother to criticize, comment on, or address in any meaningful way, the shakedown operation being undertaken against this blogger.

Not a word. Just a matter-of-fact event-telling.

I’d like to know what exactly it would’ve taken to get a reaction from blondie, considering this kind of story would be right up her alley if the parties were reversed. We may never know, huh?

Flying Spaghetti Monster is not anti-Christian per se – it’s anti-”Intelligent” Design. Yeah, it’s stupid, but so is the idea of teaching the hypothesis of ID in schools as real science. But as most Christians in this country seem to be on a constant vigil for oppression (by the 15% minority of non-Christian Americans), I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at all the confusion.

But otherwise, I agree… Boing Boing is a giant blackhole of suck.

No, it’s anti-Christian, as are a lot of the potshots they take. And I don’t think ID should be taught as “science,” per se, either.

Boing Boing, however, has a history of mocking Christians, and it’s fricking annoying. The only bright spot on Boing Boing is Cory Doctorow, and 9 times out of 10, I’d like to smack him in the head with a brick. Mark Frauenfelder is good at catching offbeat stuff, but he’s even worse as far as use of masonry materials.

And, as I’ve said before, don’t even get me started on Xeni.
