Warmongering Bastards

Posted at 11:16 am under Sad

Apparently we’re using too much uranium in our weapons. This kind of thing is really sad.

TUESDAY, Feb. 28 (HealthDay News) — It’s been roughly 3 years since bombs fell on the cities of Baghdad in Iraq and Kabul in Afghanistan, but survivors are still struggling with the effects, according to new research.

The latest research found that survivors of the attacks continue to develop thyroid nodules — either benign or cancerous — and the presence of these nodules is in direct proportion to the radiation dose they received.

The researchers also found that the younger a person was at the time of the bombings, the more likely they were to develop thyroid nodules. However, the research found no connection between radiation exposure and thyroid autoimmune diseases.

Thyroid nodules result from an excess growth of thyroid tissue and can be either benign or malignant. External radiation exposure is one of the known causes of thyroid nodules, according to background information in the study.

Only neocons could do this kind of damage to a populace with such callous disregard for their lives and the consequences.

Right?

RIGHT?

Here’s the actual story:

Amazing, really, how at this point Democrats have completely disregarded their history and take some high moral ground when it comes to war.

Face it. Both parties have histories, and Democrats have no more of a claim to the “high ground” than anyone else. It was a Democrat that dropped those nukes on Japan, not a neocon. It was a Democrat that levelled two cities and made them uninhabitable.

I’m not saying it was the wrong thing to do, but when a Democrat dares stand in front of you and proclaims with fake alligator tears how horrible the things we do to the rest of the world are and how they’re all Bush’s fault, you are hereby required to laugh in their stinking hypocritical mugs.

    b-b-b-but Truman!!

When Truman was President it was still okay to be a Democrat. They weren’t all crazy traffic blocking protesters then, and their politics were way different than they are today. Honestly, I wouldn’t consider a John Kerry Democrat the same as a Harry Truman Democrat.

I agree — I’d say the same thing of Goldwater Republicans versus the crazy religious fanatic that passes for a Republican today.

Yeah, but you see, people don’t still look to Barry Goldwater as a historic Republican Icon like, say, Ronald Reagan. Truman is the best President in the 20th Century Democrats can associate themselves with. You can talk crap about Barry Goldwater today and nobody would care, but Truman actually achieved something greater.
