Now THAT’s COOL!
As an entry to a contest on YouTube, Conor put together a video of the tenth inning of game six of the 1986 World Series. You have to see it to believe it. It’s quite amazing. He basically set everything up in RBI Baseball (the popular 1980’s Nintendo game) and attached the original commentary from the actual game.
Simply amazing.

I swear YouTube is probably one the best things you have ever pointed me to, Vinnie. I use it all the time for home videos - what a great way for my family members (all grandparents live at least a day or two drive away) to watch their nieces/granddaughters grow … as well as the funny antics of my animals. :p
I’ll go check it out… despite it being baseball… :p

Thanks for this post Vinny. That game was, and continues to be, a big deal for me. It gave me the opportunity to go to Game 7 at Shea to see the Mets win the World Series. This re-enactment is just incredible and hearing Vin Scully’s voice gives me goosebumps.
The Mets look good this year. Let’s hope for another World Series appearance!

Amen, cuz…
It was funny watching that all over again. I had forgotten how hopeless it all was… Schiraldi’s miniscule ERA versus a Mets team literally down to its last out.
Just… Wow…
The good ole days
I’d better stop talking about the past. I might start sounding like a Yankees fan.
