why is canceling an account considered customer service? you're leaving that company, why would you expect good service? good service goes to paying customers, and you're no longer a paying customer, so what makes you think you deserve to be treated well? Nevermind the fact that you acted like a total jerk to someone you wanted to treat you with respect. But yeah, you're not a customer, why do you expect service?

Hello
I just saw the video clip on my local news channel and I wanted to tell you that you are awesome. So proud of you for being so smart and calling this company out and showing their customer service for what it is. I'd like to think that AOL will learn something from this, but somehow I don't think they will.

Good For You! I just watched your interview with Matt Laurer and I have to applaud you both for taking the story to the national level. Not only did I have a customer service person like you did but I had to call numerous times to finally have them quit taking money out of my bank account for a service that I had not used in over a year! As far as the guy getting fired - I have a hard time believing that because it seems to be the way business is done throughout the company. If he did, I hope you don't feel bad because he proved that he can be very persistent and he can use that skill in obtaining another job where that skill will be beneficial.

Vinny, I also placed a link on my blog to your Matt Lauer interview. Its so cool to have blogs for us little people to get the word out about issues that would otherwise go un-noticed. I suppose that you can now change your blog title to Significant Thoughts. http://anthonylemons.blogspot.com Wake up U.S.

Hi, Vincent.

I've just seen your news story on… well, to be honest, I can't remember. The TV was on in the background while I was blogging, and the story grabbed my attention. I'm both relieved and kinda disgusted to hear that I'm not the only person who's experienced this kind of mistreatment by AOL. I felt compelled to mention it and drop some links at my own blog. Thanks for going public with this. I think you've done a public service by doing so, and I think that there's the potential for this to lead to positive changes at AOL.

why is canceling an account considered customer service? you're leaving that company, why would you expect good service? good service goes to paying customers, and you're no longer a paying customer, so what makes you think you deserve to be treated well? Nevermind the fact that you acted like a total jerk to someone you wanted to treat you with respect. But yeah, you're not a customer, why do you expect service?
