The Consumerist.com Interview

Yes folks, it’s the last of my self-whoring, and fitting it ends where the inspiration came from. I bring you, Vincent Ferrari as interviewed by the awesome Ben @ consumerist and Joel @ Gizmodo at the really hip and trendy Gawker Media headquarters in SoHo. They’re two of the coolest people I’ve had the privilege of meeting during this whole thing and it was a heck of a lot of fun shootin’ the shit with them afterward.

Just found your AOL cancellation call through Ebaum's World. I had a similar experience cancelling my account with those bastards about 2 years ago. Our conversation matched yours almost word-for-word -- Makes me wonder if they train their in-bound phone staff to be assholes, or if they have a union where being an asshole is required for membership, or... Who knows.

Keep stickin' it to The Man.

Careful when you are dealing with powerful people. Don't let that surprise you; like that phone call you had. People don't like losing money.

Great interview... Your equanimity in that interview was very impressive.

I heard about you on teh CNN and your the best because you did that thing to AOHELL! Fit the power!! You rxx, man!!!

  • Nice interview. I doubt a company struggling as much as AOL really cared about their customer service, and that's why they are struggling. That and inflating their numbers before the Time Warner merger as a recent article brought to light.

Yes, there will be some media fallout over this, and corporate policy changes nationwide...but that is great. Anyway, anyone see the new controversial ad. Click here to watch it. http://anthonylemons.blogspot.com

This may be the last interview, but this story will certainly live on for a while. I heard that a local radio show in Baltimore is using a clip of you saying "Cancel the Account" as a sound effect. You're almost as big as the "Where's the beef?" lady.
