Producing Rocketboom every day is a challenge but nothing has ever been as challenging as what we are going through right now.

Rocketboom was obviously very dependent on Amanda’s role. Since she left so suddenly, I have tried to get the episodes up and running as soon as possible, though I am not comfortable with the way they are going yet.

It’s easy enough to recreate the same thing, the challenge here is to do the next.

Well, it’s pretty obvious Andrew is trying to pin the delayed launch of Rocketboom’s post-Amanda era on Amanda herself. As Valleywag points out, however, Andrew thought his 51% was much more like 95% just a few short days ago. Here’s what he had to say on his own blog:

Fact: Out of all the scripts in the history of Rocketboom Amanda has edited nearly every single one, but over 95% of the scripts on Rocketboom have been written by me.

Fact: Over 95% of the directed episodes in the history of Rocketboom were directed by me.

Fact: I created/incorporated and directed/developed many of the reoccurring conventions of the show such as the clicker, the head turns, the paper throws, the chair spins, etc.

Fact: I have edited well over 50% of all of the episodes.

Fact: I have Produced every single episode.

Fact: I have Published every single episode.

Fact: I have found/picked over 90% of all of the stories that we have ever used.

So, to recap, Andrew edited more than half of the episodes, produced and published all of them, wrote most of the scripts, directed most of the episodes, and found 90% of the stories used.

Well, gee, Andrew… Seeing as you do that much work on your own, what’s the problem in finding anyone to just sit in the chair and look pretty? Either you’re a damned genius who runs the whole show, or an inept chest-pounding fake jilted liar who’s nowhere near the visionary this wildly successful show made you out to be.

Which is it?

Personally, I think Amanda was a much bigger part of the show than ole Andy will ever admit, and the fact that there’s still no replacement and still no episode 1 post Amanda proves that Andy may not have been the driving force behind RB he claimed to be.
