The Problem With Breastfeeders
They’re usually a bunch of self-important bitches who think that because they want to take their boob out in front of the world, everyone else should be okay with it.
Take for instance this story from Gothamist:
“I was at a Petco and they told me to go to the bathroom because it was making the customers uncomfortable,” said Jessica Pierre, 30. “I told them, ‘You don’t eat lunch in the bathroom and neither will my daughter.’”
Not for nothing, stupid, but I don’t eat lunch out of your tit either.
As I said this is the inherent problem. It’s not breastfeeding in itself. Most women are quite respectful when breastfeeding their kids. They do it calmly and discreetly (check out the United Airlines story in the same post) and go out of their way to make other people comfortable. In direct contrast, you have someone like Jessica Pierre who has to draw a comparison between an adult eating a burger and a baby suckling a tit. In her mind its the same thing.
No one should be harassed for breastfeeding their kid.
However, people who breastfeed should also realize that what they’re doing, while perfectly natural to themm, may actually make other people uncomfortable. It’s a simple fact of life and I’ve always been taught you should, within reason, try not to makke other people uncomfortable.
Maybe I was just raised different.

Yeah, it’s a natural and a part of life, but so is taking a dump - and I don’t need to see that either!

It’s a breast, get over it.

Next time someone complains when I’m urinating on a tree in the park I’ll just say “It’s a penis, get over it”. I’m sure that will put them in their place.

It seems to be a growing trend in this country among breastfeeding women to use their babies as publicity pawns.
Every couple of months, there is always some bored attention starved lactating woman who waltzes into some place of business, particularly a shopping mall, flashes a breast under “Oh, I am just feeding my baby. It’s natural” guise, and then pretends to be shocked and mortified when she is asked to cover up ( NOT STOP) by some teenager who has more common sense than she does. However, in all of her shock and horror, she pulls herself together just in time to run to the first media outlet that will listen.. and voila, front page story or TV news feature!
It is so tired and lame. This article was nothing more than a free ad for the La Leche League.
Could DA please save the front page for real news? Quite honestly, I am tired of hearing about lactating women and their quest for attention.
p.s. I give a few days…you’ll be reporting on a nurse-in at the mall too.

hi vinny,
self-important bitch. ouch, thats not nice.:(
what do u call someone who judges and name calls without knowing a person or having all the facts? hmmm? stupid? let me tell u a little bit about myself, and then u can judge with facts.
i am always discreet. i have never flashed my tit or my breast as i like to call it. i have fed my baby on demand whereever and whenever she is hungry. in the petco i left the very well lit area (we were in line getting a pet vaccinated) and went to a corner in the darkened part of the store by the fish, turned my back, and nursed my baby.
a quest for attention? not so much. hmmm.
the woman at the toys r us, chelsi, had 4 employees and then security called on her while feeding her 7 mo old baby, thus ruining her older 3 yr old’s birthday outing to toys r us. they told her to drag her kids up 3 floors to nurse. thats crazy. have you ever been out in the city with two kids?
which brings up a thought- lets get to know u vinny……
are u a parent?
how many kids?
how did they feed?
just curious.

p.s. according to the law a woman is allowed to nurse in any public place. peeing on a tree for some reason not mentioned in the laws.
