Belief confirmed.
This morning I came to a realization on Twitter and that was that I was the only person who didn’t have off from work today. Judging by the emptiness of the train, I’d call it belief confirmed.
This sucks.

I’m guessing you’re meaning you’re the only one who did have work, right? Hell, why else would you be on the train so early?
I’d say I’m with you in spirit, but no, no, I’m not. I don’t work today.
Sorry…

1. I fixed the wording so it said that. Originally it said “I didn’t have work.” Woops
2. I fixed the time stamp. Stupid WordPress… :-\

Heh… Correction made, and thanks for pointing it out

You and me both Vinnie, the company gave us MLK but not Prez day. Which day do you think I care about more?

Coupla things:
1. Vin, the wording of your post is correct. You were the only one who didn’t have off, meaning you had to go to work, accounting for the emptiness of the train. I’m guessing you changed the wording of the post before I saw it.
2. The time stamps on the comments are off (right now it’s 11:17 am on my lappytop) so 11:49 am (let alone 12:02 pm) hasn’t happened yet.

Ok, the time stamp on my comment is 12:17. What gives? Did I miss Daylight Savings or something?

Apparently the train operators didn’t have the day off either.

I haven’t had a day off in 5 years.

I also had to work Monday. However, as a server at a divey sports bar I’m going to stake the claim for the shittiest Presidents’ Day.
The patrons are unapreciative, uncouth, and abrasive. Most seem to think that only outstanding service warrants a tip at or near their tip cap of $2.00.
