New York City Yesterday

Just to put in perspective how bad the weather in New York was yesterday… This is a shot of the skyline from my office Window on a typical day:

And this is what it looked like yesterday…

Amazing. The streets were a mess, the sky was a mess… You name it. One of the worst days, weather-wise, that I’ve ever seen.

    That looks like a typical snowy winter day upstate (the real upstate, not the “upstate” an hour outside of NYC ;-) … how much snow and ice did you get?

    Probably not much. Estimates around the city are anywhere from 3 to 6 inches, but the fact that it was sloppy wet snow and sleet means that driving was horrid, traction was nearly impossible, sidewalks were a mess, and puddles were everywhere.

    And yes, it was every bit as much fun as it sounds ;-)
