Prezvid hits this one out of the park. They call Barrack Obama’s campaign “The Seinfeld Campaign” because it’s a campaign about nothing. One commenter really nails it:
want to like Obama – he has an amazing story and obviously he’s the smartest guy in most rooms that he’s in. But he hasn’t given me anything to hold onto, anything that I can point to and say that this is how he’ll fix the problems created by the Bush administration.
Saying that we should get out of Iraq is not a plan, it’s a statement with no substance to back it.
Saying that we need to fix health care is, again, not a plan, but an unsubstantiated statement.
Yep. Listen to the last clip of his speech right before the end of the video. Lots of passion. Lots of loud yelling. Not a whole lot of substance.
Aside from his race, what are people voting for with this guy?
Oh, and about the remark by one of the kids in the crowd. “He’s an inclusive candidate.” How does one be an inclusive candidate? How is Barrack Obama any more inclusive than Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, or Bill Richardson? Does being black automatically make you inclusive?
Just something to think about as the darling of the media starts ramping up his campaign. I would like to see some developed positions. Considering the first batch of primaries is in January, there hasn’t been a lot of depth to Senator Obama’s campaign. He sounds like a southern baptist preacher at a Sunday sermon, but other than that, I can’t seem to find the meat there….
Full disclosure: I’m a paid supporter of the Hillary for President campaign. Take that for what it’s worth.
