Tell me there’s no bias in the media…

Posted at 11:35 am under Liberal Bias

On January 6th, 2007, two young people on a date in Knoxville were carjacked and kidnapped. Over the next four days, this is what happened to them at the hands of their five assailants: The woman was raped and tortured. Her breasts were cut off while she was still alive and bleach was forced down her throat to destroy any DNA evidence. After her death, her body was thrown in a dumpster. The man was bound and forced to watch his girlfriend get gang raped. They chopped off his penis, shot him, and burned him alive. His body was found by some railroad tracks. The assailants, four men and one woman, have since been arrested and face over forty five charges including carjacking, kidnapping, rape, premeditated murder, theft and robbery.

Sure, this is a big story in Tennessee, but why haven’t YOU heard about this?

Find out here. Then tell me how this isn’t bias.

Knoxville resident here. On the local news they just reported about the lack of national coverage for this story and the blogosphere picking up on that. They then talked to the mayor and county commissioner who admitted they are working with the local chapter of the NAACP to keep this story from “enflaming the public” (not an exact quote). Ridiculous! Can you imagine if a white person had asked the Durham politicians not to report on that case so as not to make white people look bad? They would have been laughed out of the building!

I literally feel sick over this story. I read about it a few weeks ago, and even now it depresses me - it is in the top 10 worst crimes I’ve ever heard of (barring warcrimes).

“hey then talked to the mayor and county commissioner who admitted they are working with the local chapter of the NAACP to keep this story from “enflaming the public””

    F*** the NAACP.

Vincent, why is there a Vote for Hillary banner on this page? It’s either ironic, or you’ve changed, man!!! :-)

Cut him some slack! I’m not happy with any of the candidates either right now. If I had to pick someone from this lot I’d have to hold my nose and pick the lesser of the bad candidates! I may not agree with that person on anything but what can you do?

oops! The last line above should read “I may not agree with that person on EVERYTHING but what can you do?”
