XM’s solution to thousands of cancellations? Don’t let you cancel!

Funniest part is that at the end of that call, we still don’t know if the account was cancelled or suspended…

I’ve got a question for you though it doesn’t relate specifically to this post. Just been meaning to ask an O&A fan. What happens after the suspension? Does everyone that canceled re-subscribe? Not a fan of them or Stern. Just curious what the endgame here is for those protesting.

Wow! I ordered a new XM radio recently and it just happened to come in this afternoon. XM has problems on three fronts this week - service outages, O&A, and the cancellation issues. I called up to add my new radio to my account and deactivate the old one thinking they would be thrilled to have a happy customer! But it took forever! When I finally got through to a person they could not deactivate the old radio even though I was just swapping it. I had to be transferred to retention first! The next guy was friendly enough but he said his computer system had slowed to a crawl all day (I wonder why!). And it took another 15 minutes with him to finish. If I can activate the radio online why can’t I just swap them out online?

While I’m happy with my service, XM definitely has some customer care issues to deal with.
