NY Times Rationalizes Mexican Boos of Miss USA

I’m not really surprised that the Times is okay with this. I mean, they hate us unenlightened plebes just as much as the Mexican la Raza crowd.

Here’s their justification:

The problem was that this was no simple matter of bad manners toward a guest, but an upwelling of a national angst, many Mexicans will tell you.

Mexicans admire the United States and loathe it in the very next breath. Well-heeled Mexicans struggle to get their little ones into American schools. Down-and-out Mexicans risk their lives to cross the border. Yet all still refer to those from El Norte as “gringos,” a term that dates back to the days when American troops were on Mexican soil.

“This is a symptom of Mexico’s schizophrenia when it comes to the United States,” said Jorge G. Castañeda, a former foreign minister of Mexico who is now a professor at New York University. “We are on the one hand more linked than ever to the United States — sometimes for better and sometimes for worse — and at the same time we are now more irreverent, discourteous and inhospitable, which is an un-Mexican sentiment.”

It is not easy to live life attached to a behemoth, Mexicans chronically complain. One’s culture is often eclipsed. One has to stand by as people who live in the former Mexican territories of Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona speak ill of Mexico.

So Mexicans miss no chance to stick it to the States.

Poor fucking Mexico. The US makes life so hard on Mexicans.

Give me a God-damned break.

Now, I know most Mexicans don’t give two shits about the US and are just out there trying to feed their families. The Times trying to justify the outward contempt shown to a beauty pageant contestant by bringing up the annexation by way of a war of four states is so fucking ludicrous that only a pompous bunch of asses like the New York Times could possibly come up with it.

Let me explain to you the reason that they booed her, and it’s so simple that even an idiot writing copy at the New York Times can understand it.

The New York Times and its liberal buddies including many at various immigration “advocacy” groups have done a great job of doing one thing: convincing people that the debate over illegal immigration has nothing to do with legality and everything to do with race, bigotry, and so on. They’ve melded the term illegal immigration and immigration together in an interchangeable way.

They also have the aid of a piece of garbage President who consistently publishes documents to explain how his people can flout the law of his neighbor to the North and who uses the Times’ consistent stance that those mean ole rednecks don’t want people sneaking into the country simply ’cause they’re Mexican. When you feed a people enough bullshit, eventually they start to believe it.

So now you have a nation of people with a huge inferiority complex (wouldn’t you if you lived in those conditions? Simple fact is they aren’t sneaking here because jobs and wealth is so accessible in Mexico, folks), American media reinforcing their need to play the blame game, and a President that’s just riding that wave.

They booed because they believe what they’re told, plain and simple.

They booed because they don’t know any better.

They booed because the Times followed its agenda.

To argue anything else, including a fucking War from 200 years ago, is so patently ridiculous that it could only come out of the mouth of an idiot at an elitist paper like the New York Times.
