    As a U.S. senator, Thompson would refer to law and “government” from a federal perspective. What this out-of-context video attempts to cover is that he emphasizes that he believes this particular issue should be decided at the state level – not Federal. Most pro-life conservatives I know agree with that, including myself. That, as you should know, is core behind opposition to the reckless Roe v. Wade SCOTUS ruling.
