Mika Brzezinski Thinks Paris Hilton Isn’t News (Thank God)
Mika Brzezinski, news anchor on Joe Scarborough’s Morning Joe show refused (no matter how insistent the producer was) to lead a news break with a story about Paris Hilton.
Good. Kudos to her.
Frankly, the media amuses me. Most of them fein surprise that she’s popular and they act like they can’t “figure it out,” and yet at the same time every time the girl farts, they’re there to analyze the content of it.
Can you tell I hate the media?
Anyway, kudos. She understands that any news story going on that day was probably more important.

I am appalled by the way the media disengages us with trivia. Although this person and her reaction is valid, what shocks me is that it too is thought of as news.
I doubt that Walter Cronkite’s producer would have ignored his insistence on dumping a story. It does prove that journalists do not have control of content and any attempt to exercise control is considered, by many of their well paid colleagues, sedition. Thank MSNBC for once again proving that we are at the mercy of morons, and that when someone becomes a person they are viewed as a treat.

Bravo to Mika for trying to slow down the dumbing-down of America.
Make her the evening news anchor now and take a stand, NBC. (HA! Like fer sur that would happen.)

Great for Mika speaking out!!!! As of this date, why haven’t we heard from MSNBC or Dan Abrams, Gen. Mgr., whether Mika will return to MSNBC very soon!!!
