That was down right uncalled for. I have never cared for Letterman at all, and frankly never really cared much about Paris either. But for once I actually felt sorry for her. Here she is looking the best she ever has (this hair cut is sooo much more flattering on her), trying to get her life on the right track and all he wants to do is crack on her. Those "jokes" are more appropriate for B.Spears, who seems to have no desire to better her life, unlike Paris. Notice at 5:24 minutes in to the video she looked over her should to the back stage like she was looking for a rescue? ... or at least a baseball bat? Oh, and one fan yells out he loves her - showing his support for her while she is torn down by a washed-up talk-show host and what does he do? Slams that guy too, implying that only someone in prison would 'love' her.

What an asshole.

I usually like David Letterman, but I thought he went way overboard this time. That was totally unnecessary. Plus, it was obvious no one prepared her for that at all. He's done the same thing to Martha Stewart and she has a witty comeback, always getting the last laugh.

I was never really a Letterman fan. Most top ten lists aren't really that funny, mainly because people can think of two or three REALLY funny things then have to pepper it with crappy jokes involving Uma and Oprah. Have you seen Norm MacDonald doing Letterman? It's spot on.
