All I can say is, I've watched many of the debates and followed the race for a while and I never got the impression that he was beating it into the audiences in the same way Rudy did with 9/11. And anyways, he wasn't always rich. You can't put a penalty on success. He worked hard and got his reward for it, what's the problem? I dunno. I'm not poor but I can understand the hardships they face. I'm not black but I can understand the effects of racism. You don't necessarily have to be something in order to understand it. Besides, while he wasn't poor, he was born in a middle-class family and that's generally the audience he reaches out for. As for his wife, I can't recall ever hearing him once mention it on the campaign except the day it was announced. Elizabeth also appeared on several talk shows but she never brought it up. I think there is enough tragedy that John could have brought up to get sympathy but he didn't. I don’t think it’s crap. I’m not poor but I can understand the hardships they face.
