Next time I see you (which will probably be in May I’m guessing) I’m gonna shake your hand.

Well frigging said.

That was the old tune. Basically saying “white folks shouldn’t be surprise that black folks are angry”. Wright hasn’t said anything different this week than in the past, only this time around, Obama can’t claim ignorance (I mean, he really couldn’t claim it before, could he?). This time it wasn’t just in church, it was to the media. So it became more valid. Fact is, Obama wasn’t pissed with the same language earlier in the year, but now, now, for some reason, he’s offended.

Too convenient. Sound’s like he’s flip flopping. First he’s “white people don’t understand”. Then he’s “um… I take it back, that is offensive… I must not have been listening, since I was just assuming that the white people were over reacting, as you white people often do”

Barack Obama has called Reverend Wright his friend on numerous occasions, and has had a much closer relationship to him than a normal pastor / parishioner relationship. In his book, he talked about bouncing decisions off of Wright to get his input, having him over for dinner, and so on.

Ayers, while maybe not a “go out to the bar and party” friend was definitely more than just some crazy unrepentant terrorist he happens to know. They’ve served on committees for organizations together, and Ayers and his wife held at least two different fundraisers for Barack Obama’s campaign. Obama has yet to repudiate Ayers, instead defending him as a respected educator at Berkeley and claiming he never really knew him that well despite all their occasions of working together.

If you think about it, between Wright, Rezko, and Ayers, Obama really has a problem finding good people to surround himself with, and now it’s coming out that one of Michelle Obama’s buddies is a terrorist apologist and anti-Israel nut case. How many coincidences can you take with people’s associates until you start wondering if maybe… Just maybe…. There might be some kind of judgment issue?

I challenge you to find anything similar in Hillary or Bill’s past.

When has Barack Obama called Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers friends? When has he defended their actions?

And so, because we have already been exposed to Hillary’s shady company, it’s excusable. Sounds like a double standard to me.

And we never claimed Hillary was perfect… I’m fairly certain most of her supporters are aware of most of her flaws and skeletons. But Obamaheads all act as if he is saintly, a messiah come to save us all. Hillary’s crowd can handle criticism of her, while Obamanuts always turn it into a race thing. If that’s the type of attitude we’d get if he’s the nominee, and if he becomes president… I’m definitely against it. That kind of attitude doesn’t bring people together… it separates. It could end up doing damage rather than uniting.

As for Tony Rezko, there is no Clinton connection.

And yes, Obama was 8 years old… We get that. But I wouldn’t hang out with… Let’s say… Lee Harvey Oswald? James Earl Ray? I understand that they’re dead and all, but I wouldn’t “hang” with them. I wouldn’t call them friends. I wouldn’t defend their actions, and I CERTAINLY wouldn’t allow them to run fundraisers for me or do business with me ESPECIALLY if they outright said they weren’t sorry for what they did.

But that’s me.

Originally I thought Hillary to be a paragon of moral conduct, -*cough* It’s hard for me to even say that sarcastically- but your guilt by association argument has me thinkin’….

By the way, Obama was 8 years old when Ayers was blowing shit up….

It’ll also be interesting to see how, if he becomes the nominee, any criticism would sit with people or if, like they did in this case, it would be a “black thing,” and people criticizing him would just be portrayed as out of touch racists.

I can hardly wait.

It’s just stupid. Like you said, last time we were wrong for saying anything against Wright, and this time, Obama’s a saint for saying something. People are stupid.
