I agree, but he/you should also mention that an additional tip should be included for the amount of time that is spent sitting at a table. If someone sits at a table for 4 or 5 hours it can really hurt the server’s wages unless the customer, in addition to tipping for service, compensates for the server’s loss of the potential to earn more tips from new customers.
