Verizon’s comparison chart to prop up the new Storm 2 leaked and they compare it to other smartphones on the market. Of course, there’s only one thing you can do when the competition is in a better position than you.
Lie!

1. First of all, the iPhone 3G isn’t the current model of the iPhone. The 3GS is. That’s a good technique, though; when you can’t beat the current model, compete against the older one.
2. The GPS on the 3G and 3GS is not standalone; it’s (A)GPS, just like the other phones on the chart. Where the idea that it isn’t came from, I have no idea.
3. If Verizon compared the 3GS (the current model of the iPhone, not a 1-year old model), the camera is also 3.0 MP, albeit without a flash.
4. OTA Music Downloads have not been WiFi only since the introduction of iPhone OS 2.0, which arrived with the 3G.
So keep lying, Verizon. I’m sure your lies will sell as many Storm 2 handhelds as it did of the original Storm. Just keep telling people, “It’s better!” It doesn’t actually have to be in the Verizon world, right?
Incidentally, I don’t know of a single person who purchased the original Storm that still has it aside from one person who bought it just this past April and he completely and totally hates it.
But hey, it has removable memory!
