You know those people who don’t clear their cars before they head out to work? The ones who, when you get behind them, dump a car full of snow on you because they couldn’t be bothered to break a snow brush out? The ones who blind you unexpectedly as you drive 70 mph on the Thruway headed to work?
Now New Jersey of all places is taking those who think “the road is my snow blower” to the woodshed with fines if you don’t remove snow from a car’s hood, windows, trunk and roof. That sounds like a great idea to me, but the law only allows for $25-$75 in fines.
Good on them. I’m not one to get behind legislation like this, but there’s no doubt in my mind and anyone else’s who’s had this happen, that these inconsiderate bastards are posing a danger to other drivers and should be punished for doing so.
