Covered CFL’s For the Utterly Stupid and Clumsy

If you’re concerned about breaking a CFL while changing it once every 5-7 years, this might be your out. Essentially, it encapsulates the CFL bits inside a silicone shell to prevent it from breaking.

I get the point, but is it really necessary?

    Well considering they put a warning on a hair dryer to prevent people from using it in the shower and tub, are you really surprised by this?
