Can we admit, at some point, that we’ve lost all semblances of sanity in this country?
He’s set to be inaugurated for a second term tomorrow, but Massachusetts lieutenant governor Tim Murray has already had plenty of excitement this week.
He’s now being called a hero after rescuing two kids from a car fire.
According to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, the former mayor noticed smoke coming from a car at the intersection of Main and Henshaw streets.
He ran over to take a look, and was told there were two kids inside. Murray managed to get the kids out safely moments before one of the tires burst into flames.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire.
But Murray’s actions nearly got him a punch in the face. The children’s grandmother originally thought he was trying to kidnap the children.
Yeah. He’s gonna kidnap them from a burning car. Totally likely.
