For all of the time President Obama ran, and ever since he became President, we’ve been hearing about jobs jobs jobs. In fact, in spite of the DNC chair’s statement that that’s not what people elect leaders for, Democrats have been saying they would be focusing on jobs. Hell, remember the whole point of the stimulus? Surely you do, though the current administration would like you to forget… It was to keep the unemployment rate from reaching a devastating 8%, a number they’d kill to have right now and hail it as a success.
With that in mind, this comment is absolutely mind-blowing, because they’ve even used the “they don’t have a jobs plan” argument against Republicans for years.
So is that the spin now? After 4 years of failure, the Democrats running the show are going to argue that they weren’t put there with the purpose of fixing the job situation because they’ve failed so miserably at it?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those folks who even believe government can create jobs, but for four years, we’ve heard that Democrats needed to be elected so that they could help get America get back to work.
Does the abject failure in that regard mean we won’t be hearing that any more?
