I’m sorry but I really don’t see how we discuss stuff like this without wretching in our hats.

The row in Britain over Muslim women wearing the veil could trigger riots and worse, the country’s race relations watchdog chief warned.

Trevor Phillips, chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality, said the divisions exposed in the debate that his dominated British media for more than two weeks risked sparking “fire” on the streets.

He said the friction between communities risked becoming “the trigger for the grim spiral that produced riots in the north of England five years ago. Only this time the conflict could be much worse”.

“All the recent evidence shows that we are, as a society, becoming more socially polarised by race and faith,” Phillips wrote in The Sunday Times newspaper.

“The only place where this may not be true is in our schools and the main reason is that in many of our cities things cannot get any worse.”

He called for a “civilised” debate on race.

What the hell? Is any discussion on any Muslim issue not gonna cause an all-out riot? What the hell’s with the “violence” fears every time something is discussed that might anger Muslims? Anti-Christian zealots ’round the world continuously spew their venom on television and other forms of media, and yet you never see Christians taking to the streets en masse and burning buildings and shooting nuns. Somehow, I just don’t see the careful selection of words and careful selection of content with regards to Christians that I see with Muslims.

Why are we so scared of these people?

After all, it is the religion of peace!

We can’t show the Mohammed Cartoons. We can’t discuss the head scarves. We can’t even have arab terrorists in movies anymore (Sum of All Fears). Why? We don’t want to inflame some nebulous “them” that we all can’t specifically identify?

Some people are racists. Some are scum. Some are just a bunch of self-hating snivelling snots. Some are pandering idiots that feel a need to nurture everyone with skin darker than theirs, and assume that without their lilly-white protection, those dark-skinned people are just not capable of surviving on their own.

Their condescension is what creates situations like this. We have to be careful because those savages can’t handle it.

Oh yeah… And the ones that criticize are the real racists, right?

Interesting… Apparently religion is allowed to interfere with your job if you’re Muslim in England…

LONDON (Reuters) - London’s police chief on Thursday launched an urgent review of a decision not to post a Muslim officer at the Israeli embassy after a newspaper reported that he had been excused on moral grounds.

“Having learnt of this issue I have asked for an urgent review of the situation and a full report into the circumstances,” Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said in a statement.

The Sun newspaper reported that Constable Alexander Omar Basha told his bosses he was unable to help guard the embassy in west London because he morally objected to Israel’s 34-day war against Hizbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

Police chiefs excused Basha last week but critics said they feared it would open the floodgates for officers of any religion or belief to refuse to carry out certain duties.

John O’Connor, a former Metropolitan Police flying squad commander, told the Sun: “This is the beginning of the end for British policing.

“If they can allow this, surely they’ll have to accept a Jewish officer not wanting to work at an Islamic national embassy? Will Catholic cops be let off working at Protestant churches? Where will it end? This decision is going to allow officers to work in a discriminating and racist way.”

It would be interesting to see something like this in the US. That means Catholics wouldn’t have to defend abortion clinics either. It amazes me what people are allowed to get away with under the guise of moral objection.

Suicide Car Bomber Kills Iraqi Children

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A suicide car bomber sped up to American soldiers distributing candy to children and detonated his explosives Wednesday, killing up to 27 other people, U.S. and Iraqi officials said. One U.S. soldier and about a dozen children were among the dead.

At least 21 others, including three U.S. soldiers, were wounded in the attack, the second major suicide bombing in Baghdad this week. A suicide attacker killed 25 people Sunday at an Iraqi army recruiting center.

Targeting children is nothing new, obviously. Doesn’t make it any less disgusting. I wonder if the idiots that post that stupid Iraq Body Count toteboard will even express the slightest bit of outrage over this?

But the left never acknowledges when muslim murderers aren’t. For example, in Israel, there have been numerous cases where suicide bombers have come from well-off families, and are medical students, law school students, etc. Of course, those cases are either ignored or just glazed over because those muslim murderers don’t fit the muslim murderer template the media has created for us all. Hell, Osama bin Laden isn’t just some poor sheep farmer who got sucked into battling the infidel; the number one terrorist in the world is quite rich!

Now we see that fellow muslim murderers in London are seeking people with more than just a hard on for blowing up the infidel:
